The “Search for the Cleanest and Greenest Household” was launched on October 11, 2013 to promote wider community participation in the household level for greater awareness on environmental conservation. This is in support to the program on Community-Based Agri-Tourism Development geared towards providing livelihood to the people. It was borne out of the collective desire of the Protected Area Management Board of AVPL, a multi-sectoral policy-making body, to reduce water pollution in Lake Sebu in order to help solve the problem on fish kill.
